About the Retreat

During this virtual mini retreat, you will be guided through yoga postures and prayer, and invited to reflect individually through journaling and to connect and share with others in community. By focusing on breath and postures, we can be intentional about how we move our bodies, and by turning inward, more easily clue into where God may be calling us. St. Ignatius teaches us that God can communicate directly with us through our inner movements, and exploring these inner movements can help us move closer to God. Finding alignment on the mat can teach us to find alignment in our daily life, with our choices, behaviors, and how we spend our time and energy aligning with God’s plan for us. Mindful breathing, movement and prayer creates opportunity to care for the whole person - mind, body, and spirit.  We’ll have an opportunity to acknowledge what we may be struggling with, move anxious or stagnant energy out of the body, and call in graces such as self-compassion, kindness, connection and hope.

Participants will be led through a slow flow yoga sequence, guided meditation (imaginative prayer), journaling, and small  group conversation.
